Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the Heavens.

Daniel 12:7

The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward Heaven, and I heard him swear by Him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”

“Time” and “keeping the time” are a matching pair. However, we need to adhere to God’s time and not to people’s time. Life and death are determined by time: you can avoid death if you treat your diseases early—at the right time.

If you miss the proper time, you may even end up dying in both body and spirit. People have no idea how important it is to keep God’s time.

In order to keep the time, you must take into consideration any necessary preparation time. For things to be done at the right time, you must have sufficient time to prepare. For example, arriving barely on time for service is bad etiquette. Service preparation should be completed at least one hour before service starts so that you can properly meet the Trinity and give glory to Them with joy.

Your time and God’s time are different

People tend to live according to their own clocks. However, God’s time always runs faster than ours. He always takes action in advance. We should act upon God’s Word and His Will instead, fighting for every second.

God carries out history according to time, times, and half a time. It’s the standard of God’s timing and schedule. The time of transition is especially important. For example, catching the next flight or the next bus needs to be done at the right time. The window of opportunity to board is narrow. Likewise, transitioning from one time period to another—such as from the Old Testament time to the New Testament time—must be done within God’s time. If you fail to transition at the right time, you cannot arrive at the proper destination.

Why should we keep God’s time?

Time is God’s absolute law, and He runs everything according to this law. When people don’t keep the time or don’t know it, they cannot exist, or they end up existing at a lower level than those who are punctual or who know it.

Knowing God’s time allows us to escape from judgment and to receive blessings. Since faith is connected to eternity, if we don’t keep the spiritual time, we will be unable to gain eternal blessings. The one who keeps the time will gain accordingly, while the one who doesn’t keep it will incur a loss no matter what.

Time is God; it is the Lord. The key figures in God’s history were born at the right time in order to carry out God’s Will at the appropriate times. Know that the Messiah also comes according to God’s time, and he takes action according to God’s Will and time. To receive the Messiah at the Second Coming, you must keep God’s time.
