SCRIPTURES

Revelation 6:2

I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

Revelation 17:14

They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Those who live with the Lord are victorious

As it says in Revelation 17:14—people who are with the Lord will win. You achieve victory when you live with the Lord. If you have not yet achieved victory, there is only one reason: It is because you have not taken action together with the Lord.

The Lord is the way, the truth and the life. No one can go to God except through him. Even if things are difficult, you have to do it with the Lord. Whether you’re strong or weak, whether you do a good job or a poor job, those who do it together with the Lord will win.

Revelation 17:14 also says that they will fight together with the Lamb—the Messiah. People fight in vain against Satan, demons, evil people, or people who denounce God or the Lord. But the Lamb—the Messiah—is coming again and will defeat them because he is the King of kings and Lord of lords. And who else will win? It will be the faithful people who fight by his side.

The Lord always achieves victory in the end

It’s not about continuously winning the whole time. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. When playing sports, you don’t win by preventing the opposing team from scoring even one point. No matter the score, you continue playing while maintaining a focused mind and not making mistakes. Even at times when you’re losing, if you push forward, you will ultimately win.

In boxing, too, there’s no boxer who wins without ever getting hit. Even the winner wins while getting beaten up. In life too, everyone gets a bit beaten up as they go through difficult times. But even if the world goes against you, you can strengthen yourself and come out victorious.

Even the dignitaries of this world may win at times or lose at other times. In the end, they come out sometimes as losers and sometimes as winners. But the Lord is not like that. Although he may face trials, the Lord of lords and King of kings surely achieves victory in the end.

Fight with love and the Word

The history of human beings is a history of struggling and fighting, such as in World War I and World War II. There has been a lot of fighting and many wars among religions and denominations as well. The Lord is not on the side of evil or unrighteousness. Jesus never fought physical battles. He didn’t beat people for not believing; he waged only the war of faith. He fought against the Jews who had waited 4000 years for God. He fought with the Truth, the Word of Life that came from the Messiah, which was “Believe in God, receive salvation, and live with salvation. Pray in my name. It’ll be fulfilled.”

Winning is not easy to do. When Jesus died on the cross, people poked him with a spear and said, “If you’re the Son of God, come down from the cross.” He had to endure everything to make God’s history. Just because he was the Lord, it didn’t mean that he gained victory by default. But the core of Jesus is love. God appeared as a being of love. That’s why Jesus couldn’t help but love his enemies. It wasn’t simply by enduring that he loved them, but he realized that you win by overcoming hatred and demonstrating love.

Achieve victory on God’s side

A person who plays chess doesn’t just place the pieces arbitrarily. They calculate everything and place their pieces with intention. God makes history in the same way. So we all have to know about and love God absolutely. Then God will take care of things for us. Something may seem as if it’s a coincidence, but everything happens according to God’s plan.

God sides with both teams fairly—those who believe in Him and those who don’t. He helps everyone, but ultimately, the ones achieving victory are those who absolutely believe in God’s Word and the savior He sent.  Therefore, if you win, you’ll go to Heaven. So everyone, believe and follow the Lord; then you’ll achieve victory in Heaven.
