SCRIPTURES

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

John 3:3

In reply, Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Isaiah 43:19-21

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.  The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,  the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Colossians 2: 11-12

In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

People hesitate to throw away things they have possessed for a long time.

However, in order to buy something new, you have to throw something away. If you throw away the old things, you will free up space for new things.

If you having lingering attachments or hesitate, you won’t be able to throw away the things of the past. As a result, you will lose the new things.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
~ Romans 12:2

People lose new things because they do not throw old things away. So new things cannot come and replace the old things.

After throwing away the things of the past, you might feel a little sad. You may even miss them slightly. That is human nature. Since you have used them for a long time, you hesitate to throw them away. This is the case even when you receive new and better things.

However, there will be no development if you keep what is old. Old things refer to old ideas, old perspectives, old habits, and old thoughts.

In reply, Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
~ John 3:3

But if you throw away the things of the past, you will be able to receive new things.

The Secret to Success

When the season changes, your clothes change, the environment changes, and even your thoughts change, right?

Look at trees. In order for a tree to receive the new year, all of its old leaves must fall. All the leaves of a maple tree must fall in order for new sprouts to grow out in the following year.

~ Isaiah 43:19-21

Even a company must transform constantly with new items. Some companies transform even within a month.

They constantly manufacture new products and package their products in new ways.

This is the secret to success, isn’t it?

Try to bury the things of the past and change yourself.

In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
~ Colossians 2: 11-12

I hope you stop doing things the way you have always done them. And I hope you will do things in a new way.

When you do, you will feel renewed everyday, receive new strength, and gain new hope.
