SCRIPTURES

Revelation 9:4-6

“They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.”

God’s Word applies to both past and present

During the tribulation period following Jesus’ crucifixion, most of Jesus’ disciples were captured while preaching the gospel and were killed. Apostle John was exiled to the Island of Patmos, where he spent his time praying deeply. While in deep prayer, his spiritual eyes were opened, and John’s spirit saw the secrets of the time period that God showed him, received revelations, and recorded the book of Revelation that is in the Bible. From God and Jesus, John received the Word that was necessary for the believers of Jesus in that time period, as well as revelations about what his nation and the world would go through in the future. We must read the Bible carefully in order to understand this Word properly.

Revelation chapters 6 to 11 detail the blessings and wrath that God bestows when seven seals are broken and seven angels blow seven trumpets. At the time of disaster, all kinds of diseases, wars, earthquakes, floods, and storms take place in the area of judgment, and people are judged until a set time. At the time of blessings, God sends the Messiah along with angels and fulfills His Will of the time period. The blessings He gives last for a long time, sometimes even for eternity.

The message in the book of Revelation pertained not only to the seven churches at that time, but to God’s history thousands of years into the future.

Receive the seal of God

God said in Revelation 9:4, “Do not harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.” The seal represents the Word of God. Those who receive God’s seal on their foreheads are people who believe in the Word that God gives through the Messiah, prophets, or central figures of the time period, and who accept it, instill it in their brains, and live by it absolutely.

God judges those who block His history

In every time period, God has always struck with disasters and diseases anyone who harmed the one chosen by God. However, those who had received the seal of the Word were marked, so God didn’t let the disasters harm them.

As Moses strived to obey God’s Word to bring the chosen people of Israel out from Egypt, those who tormented Moses and the Israelites and prevented them from leaving Egypt were struck with plagues. However, despite the barrage of plagues, people continued to resist God. In the end, God cast the plague of striking down the firstborns, and ultimately brought the Israelites out of Egypt. Since the Israelites were chosen by God and had to leave Egypt in order to fulfill His Will, God had them put sheep’s blood on their doorposts so that they would not be harmed by the plague. On the other hand, to those who tormented the chosen people of Israel and hindered God’s history, God struck them with ten plagues and made them endure everything.

The same is true in this time period. If people torment those who have received the seal of God’s Word and are fulfilling His Will, then He will strike them with plagues. God will eventually judge everyone, leaving out only those who have received God’s true seal of the Word. It will become evident in reality, so watch and realize! Until those receiving judgment realize, overcome, and confess, God will continue to carry it out. At Noah’s time, during the judgment by flood, the water remained for five months, so Noah and his family could not come out of the ark for 150 days.

Realize how God’s Word is carried out in this time period

The Word in Revelation 9:4-6 describes the plague of disease of this time period. In the past, disasters like earthquakes, storms, and foot-and-mouth disease affected the grass, trees, dirt, and rocks in addition to people. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pertains only to human beings, just as the Word in Revelation says: “Do not harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.”

In every time period, God judges those who have not received the seal of God’s Word and makes them realize by tormenting them according to their deeds. Through this, God reveals their shameful hearts. However, God protects from harm those who have received the seal of the time period. He gives the Word so that we will be careful on our own; He gives us the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and makes us realize; He gives us feelings and intuition to avoid certain places; and He changes the situation so that we will not go to places of tribulation in the first place. God always protects us and helps us, and for this, we can’t help but be truly thankful.
